3 things that Zhenghua Secondary students learnt today
1)  We learnt the relevance of herbs in our daily lives such as the medicinal value of lavender and thus the importance of protecting forests.
2) We learnt that strawberries are not grown on trees!  They are grown from the ground and during havesting time, it is a painstaking job to keep bending under the hot sun.  Simultaneously, farmers need to differentiate the different grades of strawberries which require years of experience and judgement.
3) We learnt how wine are created.  The process is long and tedious.  Chemistry is the most important subject when it comes to wine-making.

How can we apply what we have learnt today in our daily lives?
1)  The creation of good wine needs time, effort, determination, patience and seeking help from experts.  Getting A1s in our subjects require the same "ingredients"!
2) All along we thought that strawberries are found on trees!  We assume too much in life and ignorance happens!  We need to be more pro-active when it comes to things we don't really know.  Quotation: "Seek and you will be given."
3) Forests come alive in Australia because we really get to see temperate forests.  Learning does not happen in textbooks and surfing the web, we need to go out and experenice the real thing if we want deeper understanding of our knowledge.

2 things they look forward to:
1) Chocolate factory
2) Penguin parade (Yes, the penguins will be JUST BESIDE US!!!  So excited!!!)

A few sweet and memorable moments:
1) There are mist coming out of our mouths when we speak!
2)  We are given the time and opportunity to pick and choose our own strawberries in the farm!  (Mr Sam Soo suggested that we can do the same thing in school: Choose and pluck out all the weeds in the garden!)

Compiled by Group Leaders: Joshua, Amani, Suyee, Hayati and Ivory

We cannot upload our pictures because we are not given the adminstrative right in the hostel.  We will try again later.

Teachers' comments:
1)  Students are very time conscious.  Good, keep it up!
2)  Someone in the hostel complained that they were making too much noise in the night.  We have told them to lower their volume otherwise they risk sharing room with the teachers!
